You cannot convert these files. Sis are for symbian based phones.
Jar are normal java games/apps
I have downloaded a game horse race for my nokia 6600.But it shows two files-one is .jar and other is .jad.I dont know which file I should install and what to do with the other file.Plz help.
install d jar files.. open it with fileexplorer or copy it to c:\nokia\install\ n u dont have to do a thing bout the jad file.. hehe..
Then what is the use of .jad file.What is it meant for?
i dunno it either.. but its come up after u install jar file.. maybe install data.. i dunno.. hehehe.. but it have no use anyway u just have to install jar file.. rite brother? sorry for not knowing.. :')

Jad files are for some phoenes and the newer phones uses them as game files to if you download them from a magazine or something...
Ányway... My Nokia 6230 installs games as *.jar but if i get games or something from a magazine it is *.jad files.
Hmm...Nothing useful ?

Ok, if we got this UnMakeSIS software, can we make from these unmade .sis files to one .jad file?

Sis files are specifically made for Symbian OS phones. Sis programs can access more of the phone's hardware like controlling the camera, turning on/off the infra-red, utilising realtime 3D graphics etc.
Jad and jar files are for java only. Java does not allow the phone to control anything else other than itself. For games and applications only.
Its like asking to dismantle a V12 Ferrari and putting parts into a goldfish to achieve the same speeds.
Does everyone think like this one above?

hyparzero's comments are not just one mans opinion they are fact, a Java app can be programmed for a Symbian device but you cannot decompile a symbian program and recompile as Java. What you are asking for BB-gsm is completely and utterly impossible to achieve.

hello,
when we install any SIS file on our mobile, all data files are extracted from sis files & sent to necessay folders (eg. Applications , DATA , Install , etc.).
We can install any sis file manually also. U need to know the name of the folders in which u want to put those files.
Unmake SIS program is used to extract all the files from given SIS file & save those on ur hard disk in the same manner as it would appear on the phone.
one more thing, There is no such application by which we can convert
SIS -> JAR. It's just like asking for whether WATER can be converted into some acidic form or not? :) :D
Unmake sis & make sis program is used by crackers so that they can replace the .app file & replace it with cracked one.
anybody know what d use of .jad files? iam curious..

.SIS is totally a different format which only support Symbian Enable Mobiles and .jad is a file which save information of related .jar file you can normally open any .jad file in simple notepad and can see what is there inside the .jad file now a days we dont use .jad file because Enhance version of MOBIMB directly support .jar file no need of .jad file and about .SIS file its a compact file which have different kind of files in it if u install SELEQ browser in ur Symbian enable mobile or if u have Card Reader+Writer then install .SIS file on ur Memory card then put ur memory card in Card Reader+Writer and goto SYSTEM\APP folder there u find different kind of folders they are all installed application which are extracted by Installer of Symbian Mobiles so u can then open any folder and can c there are different kind of files which are stored in .SIS file just lile .RAR and .ZIP files, and you can also use UNMASK.rar file which i uploaded by BB-GSM above its a great tool to see what is inside of a .SIS file

jad file is important only if u use pc nokia suite for instaling games in phone. if u
directly send jar file in phone, when u install game, then create own jad files in phone memory. maybe some games where comes from magazines use special settings in jad files for download and instaling games from webs or some like this?
jar files contains directly game data and u can copy only this files.

converting sis to jar or anyother format is not possible.
can we change water into oil ?
if we can change water into oil than we can also decompile a sis file & recompile it as a jar .
i again want to let you mentioon that it is not possible yet .
if we used unmake sis than we can only change its sources not extention .

hi all, ive got a program for my k800i but it operates using bluetooth to be conected to my computre, only problem is, myu work computers not the greatest so it doesnt have bluetooth and i dont wanna go out and buy a usb bluetooth device as i dont wanna give any money for something that i can maybe rectify myself. I was wondering if there is anyway to get into the .jar file and change the program so that when it installed into my mobile i can just use my usb connection instead of my bluetooth please write back asap thanks

and best part is its free to download and use.
The software is in Beta testing state for now. But it worked for me. Hope it
will work for you as well.
