The ones I enjoyed the most were Village Sim and Legacy I think. Of course classics like Bejeweled, Bejeweled 2 are very good too. I also have fun with Scrabble and of course Astraware Sudoku.

Depends on what I'm looking for. Zap!2016 is awesome if I don't want to get too involved. Arvale is great if you're into RPG type stuff. I play a lot of boring stuff too, like SolFree (Kodiak) and Backgammon. NesEm for Super Mario 1 thru 3, MarioKart, etc. I was really into Warfare Incorporated until I got stuck at the artifact. I dunno... what are you into?

Out of curiosity since I value your opinion, what is it about Treo Launcher vs zlauncher that you like better? For me, most important is small footprint, NO conflicts/crashes on 700p, and easy to use (don't need too many bells and whistles on a launcher)

I found Zlauncher to be too cumbersome and large. I like LauncherX because it is simple, relatively small and still has a very good file manager and handles apps from the card well. There is a keygen in this thread if you want to try it out.

When viewing youtube or google vids, hit pause for 10 to 30 seconds after starting the video. This will allow the buffer to increase and stay ahead of the playback.

Just did the ROM thing.. I had not a glitch what so ever... I removed all unwanted languages, and the ones listed in green on the pdf that was posted here... I also put the fat32 file in without a problem.
So now I can go with a 4Gig SD card? And I also here about a new faster blazer v4.5 i think(its late) that will work on the 650?
Anyway I am freakin happy I didnt let the smoke out of my treo tonight.

OK! For those who may want to know i cannot remove the fatfs without a reset loop but i can just add the fat32 ,but i use a 1g sd card
What i notice is that though it is still fast with the fat32 but it is still not as fast so i have removed it if or until i get a 4g sd
There is a significant diference without this file and i wanted a better browser before but not now blazer is smoking since the purge the cache on the treo is wide open and blazer is cookin so no need:D

i installed the keygen then installed the regular file over it and it reg the program, not sure what the serial is but i have the ? on the far right hand side and the backups are under my hotsync name, not kracked dude anymore, lol

Where did you find version 4.00.54 ? the latest version i found in the pathaway website was 4.00.51 Nov 29, 2006. and the keygen generated code is invalid.

That is my experience when i remove the fatfs and replace it with the fat32 iget a reset loop and if i add the fat32 I slightly lose performance After reading treo central i realize that there is a performance boost with fat32 but instead of being a fuc/ing DICKtator why dont you tell everyone how you did it considering i'm not the only one having the reset problem goto treo central

Byte for byte, the files are different so you must use Shadowmite's T650 Rom tool. This will generate a new MD5 file. You cannot just manually replace the file in the ace-palmos.zip folder.

Adam let's go back to the basics:

Are you using the Shadomite's T650Tool? Because that's what I used. To me the safest way of constructing a ROM is using that tool, and the safest way to upload it is using RomTool.

I haven't replaced FATFS yet but I have seen tons of people doing it without getting a reset loop. It's really weird you're getting one.

EDIT: Ok I replaced FATFS with FAT32. Maybe there's a performance gain (I'm still testing it). Of course no reset loops. The only thing I have noticed is that all my cards lost their volume name and I had to rename them all again (not a big deal). Card Info doesn't recognize the brand of the card anymore (it shows "unknown", again, not a big deal since they work).

So I don't know what adam problem is. I have a GSM Unlocked Treo 650.

Anyway I didn't have to rename FAT32 to FATFS, that's weird. Are you using Shadowmite's T650Tool or not?

When I load FileZ and browse ROM files it says FAT32 type libf Size: 57K, 3 Recs (ROM).

That means you DON'T need to rename it, you're doing something ELSE wrong.

This program has indeed been patched. Here are two different versions of the program:

Davis's Drug Guide for NURSES with Integrated Calculators 2.2

Davis's Drug Guide for PHYSICIANS with Integrated Calculators 2.2

The Skyscape website has Drug Guide for NURSES v9.43 available. There is a Skyscape keygen that I posted several pages back that may work for that version. I have not tried that keygen, but it may be worth looking into.

EDIT: OK, I tested v 9.42 with the Skyscape keygen and it works. Attached is the unpatched version of Davis's Drug Guide for NURSES. Run the installer (it will ask for e-mail address...use anything here). Hotsync afeter running the installer and run the app on your handheld. At the top of the screen it will display your HSID and an eight digit Device ID. Write the Device ID down.

Run the Skyscape keygen on your PC. It will ask you to select files; the files are located in the /skyscape/drugguide/9.4.3/palm install files directory. I don't remember if you select the drugguide.prc or drugguide.pdg file (try both). Enter your Device ID on the next line and tap Generate. Go back to Palm and register!

Let me know if you get hung up anywhere.

Adambomb, I like you and I'm not trying to bash you or flame you in any way, but unfortunately I have to be honest with you and agree with the others on this one. You do have a habit of telling everyone not to do something because it doesn't work for you. No one else had a problem with pnojpeglib from Universe, no one else has a problem with replacing FATFS with FAT32, etc.

As you can see, none of us have a solution for your problem. Hundreds of people from treocentral and all of us on here have deleted FATFS and replaced it with FAT32 just fine -- with both Shadowmites T650 tool and with simply replacing it in the folder in My Computer. None of us have had to rename it or alter it in any way. The poster you quoted "gt5l" has no idea what he's talking about. You do not need to generate a new MD5. The MD5 is for your own personal use; the Treo doesn't use it or care about it (notice how the MD5 is not in the ROM, but a separate file by itself) and neither does T650 or ROMtool. What he says is incorrect and completely irrelevent.

And for those who want to know dont let blind dude make you think he just replaced the file
He did just replace the file. So did I. Why would we lie to you? Do you think we don't know what we're doing? I can't speak for the others since they've just started out with this a few days ago, but you certainly can't claim I don't know what I'm doing. I've been modifying my ROM long before I ever came on this forum.

The fact is that FAT32 does provide improved performance for FAT16 formatted cards. Every one of us can testify to that, not based on perceived performance, but based on benchmarks from VFSMark. Most likely the reason you're not seeing any performance increase is because you put both files in ROM like I told you not to :); I'm surprised that you didn't get sent into a reset loop by doing that, but evidently it's defaulting to the FATFS file and ignoring the FAT32.

The bottom line is there are always some Treos that don't act exactly the same as all the rest. Evidently yours is one of them. If you can't get FAT32 to work, then just stick with FATFS. If you're satisfied with the performance of your 1GB card formatted as FAT16 using FATFS.PRC and you don't need FAT32 formatting support since you're only using a 1GB card, then just leave it alone. But the rest of us are able to take advantage of it, so we will.

If renaming FAT32 to FATFS worked for you, then good. You shouldn't have had to do that, but evidently you did, so congratulations. :-)

One final tip, and this goes to everyone, after you customize your ROM, perform a hard reset!

So I hard resetted the Palm and so far it looks stable.

inspired by you I also fiddled with my ROM image.
I replaced the fatfs.prc with the fat32.prc
It works fine :)
I ran the VFSbench with my Sandisk 2GB card and got 23.8MByte/s read and 5.3MByte/s write (of course I should have done the same before changing the ROM...)
the other changes I did seem to be the same as BlindDude... languages, Realplayer, Tutorials etc.
The result was an image of about 6MByte.
I am thinking of adding a few applications to the ROM, even if some people advise to keep it as small as possible...
Candidates are mVoice, maybe Zlauncher... that seem very stable

I have customized my rom on my unlocked cing treo650 and just replaced the fatfs with the fat32 file and everything was fine. I also deleted alot of junk of my treo as well.

I did however have trouble installing the fast mode blazer and my 650 went in a reset loop. Some poeple installed it with no problems and I couldnt. Treo's are funny that way. sometimes they dont act like you want them to but all in all they are great imo.

Spent a couple or three hours tonight trying to follow bgh's instructions to get my RIDATA card from Newegg to be reconized on my Sprint Treo 650. Thought I followed the directions exactly but started a looping problem that would not quit even after a "zero" reset. Finally renamed the FAT32.prc back to the original FATFS.prc file name then inserted into and reloaded the backup ace-palmos.zip that I had made and Voila! 3.8 gig. Probably over looked a post that would have avoided all this but bottom line is it's working! Thanks for everyone's imput on the forum!

Well i tried it. the rom customization to allow for a 4gb card. after getting the ok from gracks tool to close the program after a successful rom upload, i did so. to my dismay after resetting the phone (by taking the battery as directed by mytreo.net) the phone is now in an endless cylce of trying to turn on but being unable to. It says "palmone" and the process bar slides up slowly then the screen goes black and it flashes back to palmone again.

i did exactly what the directions from treocentral said, i simply replaced fatfs with fat32 and it seemed to work. now i'm stuck any suggestions? tia

You've found a keygen for Skyscape (good job!) and i've posted a patch for an earlier Medical Wizards. Apparently anything from Unbound Medicine is difficult to crack. I'll let you guys know if I find any more current patches/keygens for any of these.

I wasn't trying to imply you're the only one; I was just pointing out that a couple hundred other people don't have the problem, and no one here does. I wasn't aware of anyone else on treocentral having the problem; I'd never come across any of those posts before (since I didn't have the problem myself). I have no idea what's causing some people's FAT32 prc not to work. It doesn't seem like anyone has a solution other than what you did to rename FAT32 to FATFS. If that's what works, then problem solved, eh? :)

I'm not so sure i would narrow it down to just the cable possibility. All of my earliest posts in this forum stemmed from just plain weird problems and trouble I was having with apps on my Treo 700p. It turned out that I was the ONLY one experiencing the weird behavior I was seeing. Finally after a week or 2 of constant troubleshooting I discovered that my problem all along was my SD card. I had a 2GB SD card (I forget the manufacturer, but it wasn't a mainstream one) and to experiment, I traded it out for a newer Kingston 2GB just to try, and INSTANTLY all my troubles went away.

I know you're dealing with a different issue altogether, but if at all possible try this out on a different SD card (from the most reliable manufacturer you can get one from, like Kingston or SanDisk) and see what the results are.

Your troubles could be 100% related to the SD card, like my problem was.

I've tried a lot of voice dial software for the Treo and all of them suck, they don't recognize the voice well. I used to have a Motorola phone before the Treo and damn that phone really had a nice voice dial feature.

So talking about voice dial software, what would you recommend? maybe I try them again. So far I'm stuck with quickdial (pressing and holding a key in the keyboard).

Actually, searching through 300 pages is quite simple if you use the "Search this Thread" function. If you need Agendus, open the search and type "Agendus". There may be ten or so hits, but you can read through them and get an idea of issues others have had with the app.

It could not be any simpler, search before asking.

it was indeed checked. i just unchecked it as i am assuming by your question it was supposed to be that way all along. should deleting the app and reinstalling 4.0 fix this issue? i have seen ppl on here saying the old serial will not work anymore, so i am thinking maybe it will not help. :confused:

OK here's the deal. Here's a cracked PRC file I just made for VoiceDial 2.0.11. The thing is the only way I found to upload it is to upload first to the SD card and then copy it from the SD card to RAM.

If you wanna try it out here it is. Please tell me your experience (and how you uploaded it).

(Or you can wait till I release a keygen for it).

I'm not sure what the issue is, but mine is still working (check for updates is unchecked). I thought that it was possible that your device checked for an update and got flagged because of the serial used.

I posted 4.0 recently. Try deleting and re-installing 4.0, then 4.01, although there may be a saved preference that will prevent it from registering.

Let us know how you make out.

OK here's the deal. Here's a cracked PRC file I just made for VoiceDial 2.0.11. The thing is the only way I found to upload it is to upload first to the SD card and then copy it from the SD card to RAM.
Had to force it into RAM with Resco Explorer, since it's copy-protected; after that, I ran it. The first time I clicked the icon, the screen flashed white and then returned me to the launcher. I clicked the icon again and this time it opened up. I trained it and it seems to work well. Nicely done!

*EDIT* Unfortunately, using the "Send Message to __________" command does not work. VoiceDial exits, but the Messaging app never opens -- it just returns me to the Phone app. (The same thing happens with "Send Email" command, although this may be because I have removed VersaMail). However, the Call, Lookup, and Open commands all function properly.

Install PSNG.prc and AutoSlatePSNG.pdb on device, or preferably, Palm Simulator. Run PSNG, tap User Settings and input your HSID, tap OK, then Generate.

OK here's the deal. Here's a cracked PRC file I just made for VoiceDial 2.0.11. The thing is the only way I found to upload it is to upload first to the SD card and then copy it from the SD card to RAM.

If you wanna try it out here it is. Please tell me your experience (and how you uploaded it).

(Or you can wait till I release a keygen for it).

Had to force it into RAM with Resco Explorer, since it's copy-protected; after that, I ran it. The first time I clicked the icon, the screen flashed white and then returned me to the launcher. I clicked the icon again and this time it opened up. I trained it and it seems to work well. Nicely done!

*EDIT* Unfortunately, using the "Send Message to __________" command does not work. VoiceDial exits, but the Messaging app never opens -- it just returns me to the Phone app. (The same thing happens with "Send Email" command, although this may be because I have removed VersaMail). However, the Call, Lookup, and Open commands all function properly.

Noviiremote Deluxe must be installed on the palm first.

This isn't a normal keygen it registers the program, but doesn't generate any "Serial" persay. It does however generate the nr-license-key.PDB file on your palm. This PDB License still work for version 3.5D

You do not have to train voicedial. You can go though some steps to train spoken digits but dont HAVE to. It will recognize anything in your contacts/apps list.. as long as you pronounce it the way it is spelled.... You can enter a contact named "mounthawkaloogie" and it will recognise you or your kids,, or whoever says it clearly into the phone.. try it... NICE

After reading some more just now,, voicesignal software is the actuall stuff that was in my old motorola v710, but it works sooooo much better now....

I'm not sure what the issue is, but mine is still working (check for updates is unchecked). I thought that it was possible that your device checked for an update and got flagged because of the serial used.

I posted 4.0 recently. Try deleting and re-installing 4.0, then 4.01, although there may be a saved preference that will prevent it from registering.

Let us know how you make out.

i still have the 4.0 files on my pc and after installing 4.0 again it says thank you for your purchase. i then upgraded to 4.0.1 and it says registered in the about window. so i guess the issue was the look for updates box being checked.

You are a master I loaded the installer and ran that and then synced patch 1 into main and 2 on the card i then used zlauncher to move to ram and weelah! you are chosen excelent work my friend

Not totally sure, but VoiceIt LLC OWNS that technology. Remember how we talked about Initiate from Hobbyyist software and VoiceCall from Toysoft?

BOTH of those companies are using VoiceIt software as the technology behind the program. Now supposedly VoiceIt pulled support for VoiceCall, so that's why we NEVER got it to work with the Treo 700 or the 680. It wasn't going to ever work PERIOD.

Now I dont think VoiceLauncher uses the 3rd party software of we would be told that.

So my thinking was to just p*tch the VoiceIt program and you dont have to worry about it.

I guess if we could get VoiceNavIt 2.0 to work, we could compare that with VoiceLauncher and see which is better.

But we have to get VoiceNav before we can test it. So that's why I was suggesting to Naikel to try and do this.

I'm guessing it performs better, but i'm not sure.

I used the Astraware keygen. It works with all (or most) Astraware games.

I think the problem is that I have a wrong version of Astraware keygen because when I go to the drop down menu it only shows Universal (does not let me select any previously installed apps).

The latest release that has ben p*tched is xWeather 1.0.33b - and it has been p*tched to make registration unnecessary, and to also get rid of any unregistered messages.

There should be a PSNG icon on your palm. Tap that icon and you will see the User Setting tab.

Let me know if you're still stuck, or if i provided faulty info. You can also PM me you HSID and I can generate a serial for you.

Good to hear that. It's cool software though I feel weird pronouncing badly the spanish contacts so it can recognize it.

Anyway a keygen would suck 'cos it seems it verifies registration over the Internet after you enter the valid code, so we'd have to stick with the patch. I wanted to do it more professional, like a tiny program that patches the VoiceDial in RAM, instead of uploading the whole file (and fail through normal hotsync), but I got lazy.

Actually if you use Bird (for example) you can "crack" the VoiceDial changing the byte at offset 43CC in the amdc segment from 0x00 to 0x01.

Any fellow cracker insterested in programming suck a tiny VoiceDial "patcher"? It just have to change that byte.

OK here's the deal. Here's a cracked PRC file I just made for VoiceDial 2.0.11. The thing is the only way I found to upload it is to upload first to the SD card and then copy it from the SD card to RAM.

If you wanna try it out here it is. Please tell me your experience (and how you uploaded it).

(Or you can wait till I release a keygen for it).

I tried the Voice dial patch as described on my treo 650 and it worked...but it won't dial numbers or connect to a number, it says connecting but then goes to the dial pad and does nothing after the patch and it worked at dialing before the patch but great work in getting it patched..other than that one problem it works fine.
